VIP Group Branding #1: Photos from the session

As most of my ideas do, this one stemmed from my observations.

I noticed something while I was talking to women about getting their branding pictures updated or planning out their first branding session. And that was: they just didn’t have the capacity.

Full branding sessions aren’t exactly a simple 20-minute commitment. They require you to know who you’re trying to reach, and what you’re trying to say, and the vibe you want to go with. They require at least a couple of hours of time commitment. And of course, they’re not cheap. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: they’re worth every penny. But they’re not cheap.

So instead of only offering these full sessions, wouldn’t it be nice to offer something on a smaller scale that doesn’t take as much planning on the clients’ end and is less expensive?

Enter: My group branding sessions.

The premise was this: a set date and location that allowed women to come and go as they pleased and update their “headshots” while also connecting with other local women who are building their businesses and their brands.

It got a lot of interest when I was talking to people, so I ran with it.

And the first one was a HIT.

We held it at VenYou in Kennewick. I gave the women who registered the timeframe and gave them insight into what props they could bring. They were told that they could pop in for a short time or come for the whole thing, and they were welcome to be in the other women’s pictures if we needed models.

9 women showed up.

And they SHOWED UP.

We had so much fun getting to know each other, women were exchanging referrals to other businesses and contact info for themselves. They were snacking and laughing. And everyone left with smiles on their faces.

There were so many kickass pictures from this session, I sent way more than I initially intended to each woman.

I’d say this was a success.

Which led me to planning my second at the Teal Box in Richland which I had in early May, and my 3rd coming up on June 17th at Studio Bespoke – also in Richland. Find out more here and check back at that same link regularly for others, I have some big plans up my sleeve. 😉

For now, here are some of my favorite pictures from the first event!
