Photo Post: Human Resources Expert

Branding pictures aren’t for specific industries,

they’re great for anyone who’s starting a business, a side hustle, or a personal brand.

I have branding photography clients who are creatives, boutique owners, massage therapists, realtors, restauranteurs, financial coaches, and so many other industries.

Meet Josie, for example.

Josie started a consulting company that focuses on Human Resources. She consults with companies on their HR policies and practices, puts together trainings, and books speaking gigs. For her pictures, she wanted to make sure she came off as relatable and approachable instead of the strict idea most people have of what an HR professional is. Because she’s a fun and compassionate woman, and she brings that into her work.

We got together in the spring for her session, and we had fun playing with different areas of her home to bring in that personal touch. Since she was starting her business out of her home, it made sense to use that as her backdrop. I took pictures of her working at her laptop, enjoying her personal reading time, and having a cup of coffee. We also got some shots of a game she uses in her work with teams, and I created a short promotional video for her to use on her website.

At the time this was shot, I was offering videography as a bonus for clients who booked within a specific window of time, but now I’m adding them as paid offerings in my packages.

If you’re interested in Josie’s services, you can check out more about her and her company here.

Josie shared this review after our session together:

Part of the planning process was helping Josie feel comfortable getting in front of the camera, and making sure she was getting pictures that conveyed her fun, lighthearted energy. I think we nailed it.

Enjoy a few of my favorites, and one of the videos I made!
