Networking and Free Headshots
I don’t do a lot of things for free.
Here’s why:
I value myself.
That’s it.
My time, my expertise, my skills. They’re all valuable and I don’t take that lightly. It’s all a part of the self-love journey I’m on and I’m here for it.
But sometimes. SOMETIMES. I offer my services for free – or extremely discounted – when I believe strongly in a movement, nonprofit, or event.

These are all things I want to support. Love, Empowerment, Rescuing animals, the arts. My. Thing.
But my most recent free project is a little bit different.
My wonderful friend Monica Sanchez was talking about these networking events she was hosting locally and how she’d love some support putting them together since she was also building her business. She actually mentioned it because I know a lot of people in the Tri and she thought I’d know someone who would be able to help her. And I did: myself!
I offered to cohost these monthly networking events because I love to bring people together. I love connecting people with others who can help them on their journey. And I know so many people in different circles that I knew if we could get them all together we could make magic happen for everyone.
Our Tagaris Server was kind enough to capture this fun shot of us all with Monica’s phone!
So in early June we had our first event and it was so awesome. To encourage people to attend we had a few incentives, one of which was me offering a free headshot to the first 5 people to arrive. I wanted to help make this a success! We had more people attend than I expected, with it being our first one, and the power of connection was strong. I could see people chatting and laughing and exchanging business cards and talking about shared interests.
We had a group of over 20 people and everyone was having a great time.
That’s the energy I want to bring to every event!
So I’m going to continue to offer those 5 free headshots for each one of our events over the next few months. The next one is on August 29th at Tagaris winery, and we’d love to see you there!
