Photo Post: Daydream Division Product Photography

Last year I totally fell in love with product photography, and I had the chance to work with this amazing artist who makes the coolest stickers ever. She was about to announce a complete brand makeover and a new sticker release, and she wanted some really great images to showcase it all. So, of course, I was more than happy to help her out!

She decided on a remote session,

which meant I would pick up the items and shoot them in my home studio. After she filled out the product photography questionnaire and I had a solid idea of what style she was looking for, we arranged a time for me to pick up the items. She made my life easy, packaging them all up along with some props she wanted me to include, and I swung by her home to pick them up.

I spent the following afternoon staging and shooting each sticker, items with the stickers on them, and the beautiful rainbow glow from her iridescent suncatcher sticker.

My favorite part of shooting in my home studio is that I can just focus on the items without feeling obligated to make conversation. Because if you know me, you know I’m a chatter. So working by myself with just my equipment and the products puts me in a whole other zone of genius that I love. I can turn up my music or my most recent favorite podcast, and focus on doing my thing.

Take a look at a little BTS I captured while shooting. Check out that focused face. 😂

These pictures were a blast to shoot, and the creator was thrilled with the outcome. In fact, she even said afterward:

“It was like a weight lifted off my shoulders, and has elevated the online presence of by business so much! I was able to get featured in a gift guide for the holidays, I know one of the main factors were the products photos I received and used!. Huge game changer”

Check out my faves from this shoot:
