Photo Post: Pictures from a local restaurant
Locally owned businesses are a blast to work with.
And what’s even better is working with locally owned businesses I LOVE.
The very first time I went to Crepehaus & El Compadre I was amazed. There aren’t a lot of places where a vegetarian, someone with food allergies, and a person on a special diet can all go and get delicious food without ordering off-menu. But the owners, Jackie, Al, and Marvin, have created a space where that can happen.
Their menu is accommodating and extensive, and they can make almost anything on it either vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free. Not only that, but their staff is one of the friendliest I’ve ever met, consistently. I’ve been there with my little family (a lot), for a girl’s night with my mom and sister, and for a sisterhood meetup with some of my retreat attendees, and every. Single. Time. The service was kind, upbeat, and so on top of things.
Y’all, my order has never been wrong.
Which is saying something because normally I have to sub something else for meat and remove the bacon (apparently most restaurants don’t recognize that bacon is meat), and cross my fingers that I don’t end up with chicken in my dish…
Not here.
So to say that I was STOKED to shoot branding images for them is an understatement.
Their goal was to capture the fun atmosphere of the restaurant and also get a few food shots and their staff in action, doing their thing. And they wanted to shoot on Cinco De Mayo. Which I thought might be too much for them to juggle, but they were totally down for it. We also scheduled a separate headshot and BTS photoshoot with the owners to showcase a little more of them.
These people are some of the kindest I’ve met, and I am so glad they opened up this space in the Tri-Cities. If you haven’t been, go give them a try. Tell them Jamie sent you. 😉
Here are some of the super fun pictures we got at their Cinco De Mayo Celebration:
