Earth Spirit Branding Session with Erin
The Mission:
Erin is a small business owner in Downtown Kennewick who opened her brick and mortar in 2021. So far on her journey, she had been taking care of all her photography herself. She was ready to create some professional images of her doing her thing, working with customers, teaching her classes, and making the various items she creates for the boutique. She wanted it to showcase her in her element, doing what she loves, and conveying the welcoming and loving atmosphere she’s created inside her shop. These pictures were to be used on her website and social media pages.
The Outcome:
I went down to the shop and we chatted about the vibe of the place and what she wanted to showcase. She had a relative idea in mind, and we brainstormed during our meeting to come up with a solid plan of what we would capture.
For her session, she put out a model call on her social media page and asked members of our community to come hang out with us and shop in her store while having their pictures taken. The intent wasn’t to make them buy anything, only to peruse the shop and interact with Erin. But almost every person who came in that day made a purchase!
We wound up capturing 3 stories: Erin making candles and jewelry in her back “shop”, lifestyle images of customers shopping and Erin helping them, and one of her Tarot classes. We also got updated headshots and product shots.
My goal was to showcase the warm, inviting vibe of the boutique while also capturing Erin’s spunky personality and the magic she puts into everything she does.
The Impact:
Erin was able to refresh her website with new professional images, and finally had a headshot she was proud of sharing! She’s used her images to advertise events and specials in her boutique and the response to her images has been resoundingly positive from the community.
