The women's retreat you've been waiting for

Hey girl,

I know that life can get hard. I know you don’t take care of yourself the way you should. I know everyone else comes first: your kids, your parents, your spouse/significant other, your boss… and focusing on you feels like a selfish act. More than likely, you weren’t raised to put yourself first. Your parents and society taught you that you should be of service to others over yourself, or that making money is the most important thing in life, or that you have to hustle as hard as you can because nobody else is going to hustle for you, or that you should just trust that God knows what he’s doing and let things fall as they may.

Does any of that sound familiar?

Many of the narratives we were fed as children have common themes, and it all results in most of us having no idea how to truly love ourselves.

I was right there in that same spot 6 years ago. My parents did the best they could with the knowledge they had and the tools available to them, and they did a pretty damn good job. I had a good childhood, and because of my mom doing what she could to break generational curses, my childhood traumas are minimal. But outside influences like extended family, the media, my friends, and my own internal anxieties and depression made me feel like I just wasn’t enough, and that there were certain expectations of being a female that I wasn’t meeting.

I wasn’t wearing full makeup when I left the house.

I questioned the authority of men who didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing.

I didn’t believe a lot of the stories I was told in my religion.

My hips were too big.

My style was too funky.

I spoke out against what I saw as injustices. Loudly.

I enjoyed food too much.

My laugh was too loud.

My dreams were too big.

It took me growing out of my teen years, figuring out what I wanted, and having a daughter of my own to start to fully love myself. And it was a lot of heart work, research, setbacks, writing, confusion, failure, courses, and books to get to where I am now.

This is the reason I started these retreats. Because I know better, so I’m going to do better, and I am going to bring you along with me.

My women’s retreats are designed to be a catalyst for your self love. They bring resources and professionals in different areas of self-care together to create 1 day full of growth, learning, and pampering. Each expert pours their love into the lessons they’re teaching and the workshops they’re leading.

Some of the transformations experienced by the women who attended my previous retreat are:

  • Forgiving themselves for past mistakes

  • Starting the process of healing from traumas

  • Setting new intentions and following through on their goals

  • Bonding with other women who attended and keeping each other accountable/uplifted

  • Quitting old unhealthy habits

  • Finding the love for themselves necessary to set healthy boundaries

  • Creating a clear plan to chase their dreams

  • Continuing to do the work to honor themselves

  • Trying new things that bring more balance and clarity

And so much more.

There are dozens of ways you can start your journey, but my retreat brings multiple aspects of self-care together into a beautiful, powerful day to help you get a jumpstart on your path. So you don’t have to pay a life coach, a writing coach, a counselor, an art teacher, a yoga instructor, a photographer, and make yourself delicious meals. For one full day, you get all of that for the cost of your ticket.

Are you ready?

Tickets available here.

And you still have the option to pay for the ticket in 2 installments instead of 1 lump sum until Friday, April 22nd (final payment due 2 weeks later on Friday, May 6th). Click here.

I hope you choose yourself. I hope I see you there.

Until next time

JK
