2024 Holiday Marketing - Tips for Small Businesses

Have you started planning your holiday marketing?

If not, this is your reminder that this needs to happen ASAP.

Small Business Saturday is on November 30th.

Which means you only have 3 weeks to nail down how you’re going to attract all those holiday shoppers to your business.

Here are 3 ways you can attract customers during this holiday shopping season:

Create a highlight reel for each of your products or services

Use pictures, videos, and compelling copy to showcase how your product or service benefits your customers. There are a ton of templates in both Canva and Capcut, both of which I use for my marketing and have been incredibly easy to learn. Use the free and low-cost software to help you grow.

Get yourself in holiday gift guides

The best way to get into holiday gift guides is by having a compelling blurb about what you sell with nice imagery. In fact, one of my clients said of her product pictures last year:

“It was like a weight lifted off my shoulders, and has elevated the online presence of by business so much! I was able to get featured in a gift guide for the holidays, I know one of the main factors were the products photos I received and used!. Huge game changer.”

Spend some time searching for holiday gift guides that make sense for your industry. Websites for those guides typically have pretty detailed instructions on how to submit your business to be a part of it.

Highlight happy customers

(See what I did there?) Reach out to your current clients or customers and ask if they’re willing to have a conversation with you, which you will record, talking about their experience working with you. If they don’t want to do a video or phone call, send them a questionnaire asking about their experience or even a link to leave you a Google review.

I have space in the next week to shoot product photos, headshots, or mini branding sessions, so that you still have a chance to get updated photos before the holiday rush. Click this link to get started:

There is also still space in my group branding session on November 13th. I’ve waived the session fee so you pay ZERO dollars to attend. But you have to register by November 11th, so head over to this post to learn more about it!

I wrote a much more in depth article about how to feature your business during the holidays last year. If you’re interested, head over to that one to learn more:
